Wow wow wow!! This Italian is SO good. Highly recommend going here. The main dishes were the highlight. I had the lasagna and it was made with braised beef and it was absolutely amazing. My bf had the rigatoni with black truffle, Italian sausage and mushrooms and it was delicious. The deserts (pistache lava cake and chocolate salami) were delightful. The arancini was okay. Great service and the interior is very chic. Definitely would go here again!

I went to this restaurant to celebrate Halloween with their special menu. I ordered one regular dinner and one vegetarian - both were absolutely amazing. The portions were perfect for the number of courses. I opted to included the pairing wines and they couldn’t have been better. My favorite part of the meal was the dessert. It was one of the best I’ve had in years. The staff were also very helpful and attentive. They kept an eye on the table but provided us our space - they checked in on us when it was obvious we had finished our course. The owner came through to personally check on all of the tables - something I truly appreciate and wish restaurants did more of. They also included a special Halloween trick-or-treat gift for visiting. The experience was one of the best I’ve had in Glasgow. It was worth the price we paid - I highly recommend giving this place a try.

We had a lovely dinner. Staff very amazing fast service and fresh food. I had the calamari and the lasanga, they were both beautiful, pepper Italian food. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and with lovely comfy chairs. Would definitely come again when we are next in the city

Joia - hosting an intimate wedding reception for my son and beautiful daughter-in-law; and what incredible hosts they were. From start to end, we had the attention full attention from the Manager and staff, smiling and dealing with our every need. The menu as always delivers the most amazing tastes & delights, wines flowing; and what a time we had. The restaurant was perfect, and although private the ambiance was electrifying. We were made to feel so special, comfortable, in fact part of the extended Italian family. We’ve been before, and of course we’re coming back.. huge thanks to you all, Joia made the wedding that much more special.

This is hands down the best Italian restaurant in Glasgow. You can feel the passion in everything they do, from the warm, friendly welcome to the incredible food that stays true to real Italian traditions. They don’t change the recipes to suit the Scottish palate , and thank goodness for that!! Every dish is authentic, full of flavour, and made with care. What makes this place stand out even more is that they offer dishes you don’t find everywhere (finally something different!). You can tell they use only high-quality ingredients, and it makes all the difference. And their charcoal pizza? Just wow. It’s beautifully light, full of flavour, and absolutely delicious, easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had. If you’re looking for genuine Italian food served by people who truly love what they do, this is the place. You won’t be disappointed!

I honestly have nothing bad to say about Joia. From the food, service & atmosphere, it was top notch. Despite the interior, it is actually kid friendly too. The staff were very sweet to our toddler. Star for me was the octopus & lava cake - must try!!

So glad we discovered this beautiful place during our business trip! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was fabulous. The service was outstanding—friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable throughout. We can be tricky customers—one vegetarian, one pescatarian—so it’s not always easy to find a place that satisfies us both, but this one exceeded our expectations. I’m already looking forward to returning on a private visit next time. Fine dining, great music—a true 5-star experience. Thank you
